  • Flying to Bay Area: The University of California, Berkeley is located in the San Francisco Bay Area and is served by two airports:
  • Airport Transportation: Shuttle service is available from the Oakland International Airport and the San Francisco International Airport. Most shuttles offer door-to-door service to the residence halls, upon request. Reservations are required, and all have on-line reservations. For information, costs, and reservations, call:

  • Public Transportation
    • Bay Area Rapid Transit provides good service from area airports to Berkeley. However, the closest stop, Downtown Berkeley, is about 1 mile away from the UCB Unit 2 residence complex. If you're taking BART, options for getting to Unit 2 include walking, cab, or bus (AC Transit)
    • AC Transit. The 51B and 851 lines stop at Haste Street and College Ave, near the "Unit 2" residence complex.
  • Parking: please let us know if you plan on driving. Parking is available, but limited.
